Our Assets
Play parks & Green spaces
Wharf Lane Recreation grounds
Wharf Lane Recreation Ground is one of the village’s main green spaces, with sports pitches, open grass areas, and a concrete skatepark. Its large flat grass pitch makes it popular for community events. The parish council helps maintain the grounds, supports the sports clubs who use the facilities, and works to keep the area clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone.
Rockley Memorial Park
Rockley Memorial Park is a peaceful, tree‑lined space dedicated to remembrance, with seating areas, planting, and a gentle atmosphere for reflection. Our grounds team cares for the landscaping, paths, and memorial features, ensuring the park remains a respectful and well‑kept place for the community.
Valley Road Tractor Park
Valley Road’s much‑loved Tractor Park offers a fun, themed playground with equipment for younger children, along with green space for families to enjoy. The parish council oversees regular inspections, maintenance, and improvements to keep the play area safe, clean, and in good condition.
Cliff Walk and Lily Ponds
The Cliff Walk is a scenic footpath offering views across the Trent Valley, leading down to the tranquil Lily Ponds — a favourite spot for wildlife and quiet strolls. With the support of the local Conservation group, we manage the paths, signage, and vegetation, working to preserve the natural character of the area while keeping it accessible for walkers.
Grange Grounds
The Grange Grounds surround the historic Grange building and provide a mix of lawns, mature trees, and ornamental planting and a central gazebo. They’re used for community events, casual recreation, and peaceful everyday enjoyment. Our grounds team maintains the grounds, manages planting and tree care, and ensures the space remains tidy and inviting.
Dewberry Hill
Dewberry Hill is a natural open space with footpaths, wild areas, and views across the village, offering a more rugged, countryside feel. The parish council, with the support of the local Conservation Group, helps with conservation‑minded maintenance, including path upkeep, litter management, and habitat‑friendly care to protect the area’s wildlife and character.
St Mary's Church Yard
St Mary’s Churchyard is a historic and tranquil space surrounding the parish church, with mature trees, memorials, and quiet seating areas. Our grounds team works alongside the church to help maintain the grounds, supporting grass cutting, path care, and respectful upkeep of this important heritage site.
Radcliffe on Trent Cemetery
Radcliffe-on-Trent Parish Council is the local burial authority and owns and maintains the cemetery at Vicarage Lane.
This cemetery is limited to local residents to make sure we can provide spaces for the locals who contribute towards the upkeep of the cemetery.
